Use your own Brain for a change

OK..Lets get stuck in...Life doesn't just happen to us as human beings. We go through a process on an ongoing basis that determines what kind of life we lead. Humans are creatures of habit, and once these habits are installed in our nervous system we usually repeat them when a particular situation occurs. Learning to use your brain is like everything else..IT TAKES PRACTISE...I mean, if you set yourself a goal to get fit, you don't go to the gym, workout one time and hey presto your fit. It takes time, practise and patience. Working your brain is exactly the same as any other skill. But let me say that if you are dissatisfied with any area of your life and you want to change it, you have the power inside you. You have the potential to change your life, you just need to tap into the resources within yourself to achieve this.

Question.....So if we have the power to change out lives for the better then why don't we?

We get what we focus on in life, and the problem is most of us focus on how our lives are not working. "How come this always happens to me" and "how come they are successful and I'm not" etc..Well the fact is that if you focus on this type of negative patterns on a daily basis, this is exactly what you will experience.Your brain is the most powerful computer on the planet. Use it properly and you can produce any results you want.

"Brains are not designed to get results, they go in directions. If you know how the brain works then you can set your own direction. If you don't then other people will set your direction for you."

Q. So how do you change the things in your life that you are unhappy with?
A. Simply decide to.

4 Steps to changing any aspect of your life

  • Know your outcome...You have got to know what it is you want( believe it or not most people don't). The clearer you are on what you want, the more you empower your brain to come up with answers.
  • Get yourself to take action...If you start taking action immediately towards a goal, then your brain will start its workout.
  • Notice what you are getting from the actions you are taking...Do your actions always work? NO..the people who succeed the most are the ones who have failed the most
  • If what you are getting isn't working, simply change your approach...you keep changing your approach until you get the results you want.

I'm sorry to sound so simplistic but this is all it takes. If you make the decision that you want to change any area of your life and you cut off all possibilities that you will not succeed then you are giving your brain an indirect command to come up with the answers...And it will.

The biggest trap of getting people to take action is FEAR......fear of failure, fear of success, fear of what other people will think, fear of rejection, fear of pain....the list goes on. The only way to deal with fear is to face up to it. Breaking through fear is like working a muscle in the gym. We go to the gym and workout, taking it one step at a time until we build up that muscle. breaking through fear is no different. We take what we are afraid of and piece by piece we overcome whatever is holding us back.

Remember.....It is impossible to fail. If you try something and it doesn't work then you got an education. Learn something from it. As long as you have learnt something, you have succeeded. Then move in a new direction to overcoming the fear. If you learn how to master you own thoughts then you can go in the direction you want. IL show you how simple this process is tomorrow. For today thought i will leave you with a poem. Read it a few times, it will start that brain thinking.
